I just realized that Rose's mom doesn't have a wedding band in #56, and in #57 both parents are wearing their bands on the wrong hand. I think I will fix these things next time I update.

Sunday, February 5, 2012 Holy crap, this one was fun to draw. And I punched the entire thing out in one day – about 15 hours with scattered interruptions. Very satisfying indeed. Part of the reason I was able to do that was that I cut back significantly on my perfectionism. Since day 1 I've drawn the background outlines and the character outlines in separate layers, coloring them in separate layers as well. I'm realizing now that this is probably a throwback to the old days (pre-6Prime) where once I drew a background, I would recycle it to no end. I think I was preserving my backgrounds with the idea that I would do something similar, but now that I'm drawing the entire comic myself instead of doing the backgrounds in Illustrator, it seems pretty pointless. Seems like before the last 2 installments I hadn't realized just how much obsolete procedure I was perpetuating without a real return. Ah well. Each comic is getting better in more ways than one.
